Insurance Technology Experts began with a decision to focus exclusively on independent insurance agencies.
That decision grew out of our experience working closely with an independent agency and seeing how well our approach fit their business. As we looked more deeply at the insurance industry, we saw an opportunity to do something different: narrow our focus, truly understand the systems, workflows, challenges, and goals of independent agencies, and become a technology partner that could make a meaningful difference.
ITE grew from the experience of Anywhere Computer Care, which has been serving businesses since 2011. Over those years, one lesson became increasingly clear: the greatest value does not come from simply fixing technology. It comes from understanding the organization, helping its people work more effectively, and providing guidance that supports where the business is going.
Today, ITE brings that philosophy specifically to independent insurance agencies. Our role goes beyond day-to-day IT support. We help agencies protect their business, improve how work gets done, equip their people, better understand and use their technology, and plan confidently for what comes next.
THE HEART BEHIND ITE
Hi, I’m Tom Williams, and I have the privilege of leading ITE.
I grew up going to church from the time I was very young. By the time I graduated from college, I had decided I didn’t need God in my life and that I could figure life out on my own. Trying to control every detail of my life eventually left me beaten down, weary, and lost.
In 2010, at my lowest, I finally surrendered my life to God. Not only did I experience a peace I had never known before, but I also began looking differently at my purpose, my work, and the opportunities I had been given. I don’t see the business as something I own, but as something God has entrusted to my care and called me to steward faithfully.
That continues to shape how I lead our team and the direction of the company. I want each of us to be a good steward of the role we have been given, to serve the people God places in our path, and to use our gifts and abilities to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
This belief is central to how we build our team. Technical ability matters, but talent alone is not enough. The people who represent ITE must believe in serving others, building strong relationships, doing excellent work, and looking for ways to genuinely add value to the people and organizations entrusted to our care.
ITE matters to me, but the people we serve matter more. My goal is to faithfully lead the company and build a team in a way that reflects that.
